What We Are NOT.

 

We want to start off right away by laying out precisely what we are NOT. We are not a traditional ministry. We are not traditionally trained and ordained ministers. We never went to Bible college. Having said that, we have had the unspeakable blessing of being taught by two of today's greatest Bible teachers. We have been members of the University Cathedral in Los Angeles , California pastored by the late Dr. Gene Scott® (now pastored by his wife Pastor Melissa Scott®) and Leslie Hale Ministries pastored by the world famous Bible teacher Leslie Hale. It is through these two men and a life of Faith, devotion and personal study that we are learning the depths and richness of God's Word. If you have heard either or both of these two great men speak you will recognize their work in the messages you will hear in this ministry. I AM DECLARING THAT NOW! OUR TEACHING IS BASED ON, AMONG OTHERS, DR. GENE SCOTT® AND PASTOR LESLIE HALE. Let there be NO mistake about that. These men have influenced what we teach to you today. We have done, and will continue to do, personal study (including prayer and devotion) that will enhance and expand on what we have learned but the core of what we speak about came from what we learned from those two giants of our time. If you have never heard either of them teach you have missed a lot. Do yourself a favor and visit www.drgenescott.org and www.lesliehale.com and be prepared to hear God's Word as you have never heard it before. Yes, that's right, we are telling you that you need to listen to other pastors. Granted, it is a short list, but we want you all to know that we are students of these two men and you should be too. You will also hear things we have learned from some of the great Bible teachers of the past such as G. Campbell Morgan, Charles Spurgeon, A.W. Tozer and so on. Now, having said that, we do want you to visit us as well. We would like you to visit us often. We are confident that you will learn things you have never known before and that you will be blessed by it because "... faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17.

Onward with this theme of what we are not. We are NOT condemnation preachers. The reason is simple. We are all sinners. Paul clearly tells us that. God has dealt with that through His Son. One thing that we have learned over the years is that EVERYONE struggles. We all have things we would rather not do (and this includes the great Paul, see Romans 7:14 -25). You won't hear us condemning anyone. Your salvation is between you and God. You will hear advice from us just like we heard advice from Paul. There ARE things that God does not like and we learn what those are as we grow closer to Him through His Word and personal communion with Him in our prayers and devotions. Most of the "morality" you hear preached has nothing to do with God. That is why we as individual children of God commune with Him so we learn " what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2

 

What Then Are We?

 

That is a much simpler answer. We are a family dedicated to God and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19). We have a fire for God's Word and we want to spread that fire. My wife and daughter are gifted singers and they will help spread God's Word through songs of praise and worship. I will do my best to spread His Word through teaching. Together...us, you and the Holy Spirit, will do what we can to magnify the name of God and His Son Jesus Christ through the spreading of God's Good News to the ends of the earth through that most pervasive of modern mediums: the Internet. We will be posting video taped messages to our website on various topics out of God's Word. In addition, we will provide written material that we have authored to expand our teaching mission. Hopefully we can provide other means of exposing God's Word to our online community. Such things may include articles, excerpts, and the like that are in the public domain. There is a treasure-trove of wonderful teaching on God's Word produced over these many centuries that we can share with one another.
